Sergeant Adrienne Legaspi is a 29-year service veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department. While earning her Bachelor of Science degree, she was employed with the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office. Post-graduation, she attended law school, followed by an internship with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. In 1995, she joined the Los Angeles Police Department.
Upon completion of probation in Hollywood Division, she transferred to Southwest Division and eventually upgraded to a Field Training Officer. In 2002, she promoted to the rank of Sergeant, and worked Rampart Division, Newton Division, Central Division and Northeast Division as a field supervisor.
In 2005, while on loan to Special Operations Bureau, Sergeant Legaspi conducted several active shooter/mass casualty attack table-top and large-scale exercises with airline carriers, private sector organizations and large entertainment venues.
In 2012, Sergeant Legaspi transferred to Counter-Terrorism Special Operations Bureau, assigned to Major Crimes Division. She was appointed as the Department of Homeland Security point of contact, to conduct in person Train-the-Trainer active shooter prevention training alongside her cadre, to not only LAPD personnel, but to outside law enforcement agencies, schools, clergy, hospitals, private sector and members of the community in the Los Angeles region.
